Buick

Future of Buick

In 2005, reports began spreading that GM was exploring the possibility of eliminating the Buick brand[18], to cut costs. The speculation was based on the temporary suspension of GM's planned Zeta project to develop new rear wheel drive cars fitting the Buick market niche [19]. GM also had started consolidating of Buick, Pontiac, and GMC trucks into single dealer franchises, which would make it simple to eliminate the Buick brand without leaving dealers devoid of product.

However, with the development of the Zeta platform still ongoing (including the introduction of the 2006 VE Commodore and the new 2010-model Chevrolet Camaro), and the cancellation of the Pontiac brand at the end of the 2010 model year, Buick will survive, although it has been questioned with the elimination of Pontiac and Saturn if Buick survived by default.[20] Buick's success in China is considered what saved the brand from the chopping block, and is helping the brand reinvent itself in the wake of GM's 2009 bankruptcy.[21]

Bugetti

Bugatti was founded in Molsheim, France as a manufacturer of high performance automobiles by Ettore Bugatti, an Italian immigrant described as an eccentric genius.

The original company is legendary for producing some of the most exclusive cars in the world, as well as some of the fastest. The original Bugatti brand failed with the coming of World War II, like many high-end marques of the time. The death of Ettore's son Jean was also a contributory factor. The company struggled financially, and released one last model in the 1950s, before eventually being purchased for its airplane parts business in the 1960s. Today the name is owned by Volkswagen Group, who have revived it as a builder of limited production exclusive sports cars.

Bufori

Bufori is a brand of hand-crafted automobiles inspired by American 1930s coupes. The company is owned by Australian brothers Anthony, George and Gerry Khouri. In 1986, Gerry Khouri began to build three special sports cars in his garage, one each for the three brothers, which led to the formation of the company. The name "Bufori" does not have an essential meaning.

The Bufori Motor Car Company Pty. Ltd. is a proprietary company limited by shares and registered in Australia, as is the Bufori Motor Car Company (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia. Originally, all of the manufacturing and sales operations were conducted in Australia, but in 1998 full production moved to new facilities at Kepong, a suburb of Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia.

The production facility in Kuala Lumpur has an installed capacity of 300 vehicles per year, and employs 110 employees. Each unit is built by hand using traditional techniques in a 25 step production process. The body of a Bufori is made out of Carbon Fibre and Kevlar composite material, which is light and ultra-strong. Every Bufori is made to order and can be customised according to the owner's wishes.

Artega

First shown as a mock up at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show; the Artega GT debuted a year later at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show. The car is designed by Henrik Fisker, the man also responsible for the much celebrated Aston Martin Vantage.

The two seater has an aluminum space frame and carbon fiber reinforced body for a light curb weight of approximately 1,100 kg (2,425 lb). The engine is a Volkswagen-sourced direct injection 3.6 L (3597 cc) V6 producing 300 hp (220 kW) and 350 N·m (260 lb·ft) mated to a 6-speed DSG transmission. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is expected to be under five seconds, with top speed estimated to be over 270 kilometres per hour (170 mph).[2]
